Meet the Team: Jon Paquette

Meet Jon Paquette, a Sr. Account Executive at Lucid!

Jon joined the Lucid team back in 2018 as a recruiter and spent a couple of years in that role before transitioning to his current position of Sr. Account Executive. Internally most know him as PZ, but to our clients he’s known as Jon, their Lucid rep that will ensure they have the best experience possible when looking to make some staffing changes with their team. Jon has a unique background that you can learn more about on the “Our Team” page of our website.

A Bloomington resident for most of his life, Jon now lives in Indianapolis where you can usually find him enjoying a nice glass of whiskey or cigar, checking out the newest restaurant, or bowling a perfect game. (That’s right, he’s bowled around thirty perfect games in his life.)

Jon’s Lucid Story:

· You have one minute (approximately 100 words) to tell someone about Lucid. What are you saying?

Lucid Services Group is the best Technology Staffing & Project Delivery Partner in the game! We’re a locally owned and operated WBE that works extensively with companies across the US helping them identify skill gaps, assess IT project delivery needs and workload capacities, as well as create and deliver a talent delivery strategies customized for each client and their unique needs.

· When looking back at your six years at Lucid, what are you most proud of?

I’m incredibly proud of the team that Lucid has built over the years. We’ve put together a highly talented and knowledgeable group of people who possess an unmatched desire and dedication to helping clients deliver on their most challenging projects, helping candidates find better opportunities to provide for their families, and we do it all with an unmatched level of customer service.

· You started at Lucid as a technical recruiter but didn’t have a recruiting or IT background. What have you found to be the most interesting part of the IT staffing industry?

It’s always interesting learning about the latest in enterprise and emerging tech and hearing what technical leaders are excited (and worried) about regarding those new technologies and the impacts they can have. The fun really starts when I get to dig in with a customer about their new tech implementation or upgrade goals and help them to develop a talent delivery program, ensuring they have quick access to the expertise they need, ensuring smooth and timely project delivery.

· If you could have any job in the world (other than your current one, of course) for one week, what would it be?

I’d love to be an Automotive Journalist and co-host joining Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May in their wild and hilarious antics on their Amazon Prime series, The Grand Tour.

· You have a full week off work. How are you going to spend it?

On a road trip! Putting together a list of 5 or 6 cities or towns and mapping out 2-3 hours of scenic drive time between each destination, making sure to leave enough time to check out some of the local amenities and attractions along the way.

· Do you have any phobias (spiders, snakes, heights, etc.)?

Birds! When I was 8 or 9 years old, I was ferociously attacked by someone’s pet Parakeet. This led to a life-long distrust of all feathered creatures that haven’t been plucked and prepared for supper.
