3+ years of related Azure administration experience

Type of Position: Contract
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Desktop Support Technician to join our client in Bloomington, IN. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in supporting Windows and Apple environments, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service. This role will involve working directly with end-users to resolve IT issues, manage support tickets, and maintain a seamless technology experience. This is a contract and role and the expectation is that you will work onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for Windows and Apple (macOS and iOS) devices, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
Manage and respond to support tickets through the organization’s ticketing system, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
Set up and configure new hardware and software for users, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Provide user training and support for software and hardware usage.
Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements.
Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices for future reference.
Assist in maintaining an inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting Windows and Apple products.
Familiarity with desktop support tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar).
Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including Wi-Fi and Ethernet troubleshooting.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric attitude.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Prior experience in a desktop support or similar role is preferred
Education and Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required); an associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field (preferred).
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, or Apple Certified Support Professional (preferred but not required).

REQUIRED:
Five+ years of experience overseeing / managing / coordinating IT projects; Ideal candidates will have experience managing data-related projects.
AMS system experience strongly preferred - Epic (AMS), AMS 360, QQ Catalyst, TAM, Ezlynx
Previous experience working in an insurance/broker environment strongly preferred
Skills to know how to drive engagement from whatever audience that you may need action from. (Is an email best? Phone call? Do I walk by the person’s desk? How do I track the needed info down?)
Ability to support concurrent projects
Ability to run or support effective and efficient meetings with stakeholders and technical teams. You will be the resource to disseminate meeting minutes, action plans, next steps, etc.
Strong status reporting and project tracking skills.
Self-starting skills. Ability to find information you need and work autonomously whenever possible.
Plays nicely with others is a must. This is a bridge-builder type role, bringing together the business, tech teams, third party vendors, etc.
Must be comfortable working onsite in a long-term consulting role.
