Brei’s Lucid Story:

· If you could only use three words to describe your experience thus far at Lucid, what would they be?

Welcoming, Fast-Paced, Hilarious. The culture at Lucid is just a mix of fun and easy going, driven by high performers – exactly what I was looking for. I’ve felt very welcomed and supported. The Slack channel deserves its own comedy award – love it.

· You are no stranger to finance and have worked with organizations in the tech space before, but this is your first time working for a staffing firm. What do you think of this industry?

After 16 years in the nonprofit sector, where I focused heavily on operations and finance, transitioning to this industry has been both a fresh challenge (in the best way!) and a fast-paced experience. I’m learning something new every day and love how people-centered it is, all while offering the complexity I enjoy on the business side.

· What is the best professional advice you have ever received?

Since becoming a mother, I’ve reflected deeply on the work-life balance advice I’ve received over the years. As someone who has always prioritized my career and wrestled with being a chronic perfectionist and overachiever, I’ve come to realize it’s less about achieving perfect balance and more about work-life integration. It’s about finding what works for the season of life you’re in, while ensuring you don’t lose sight of who you are in the process.

· If you could have any job (other than your current one) for one week, what would it be and why?

Owning an art gallery. I’ve always had a passion for art, and the idea of curating collections, supporting artists, and engaging with the community would be incredibly rewarding. Plus, I’d love the opportunity to combine my creativity with business, and who doesn’t want to spend a week surrounded by beautiful art?

· Do you have any unique hobbies or strange talents we may not know about?

I moonlight in interior design projects (my major in college), love creating, and I’m a die-hard fan of 90s grunge and progressive music.

· If you could only eat one cuisine for the rest of your life what would it be?

Does my husband's cooking count as a cuisine? Just kidding! Italian—because pizza, pasta, and wine are basically the trifecta of caloric happiness!
